Graphic Design

Clear communication is essential to great places.

Graphic design plays a critical role in how projects are understood, navigated, and remembered. At Township Design, our graphic services support identity, wayfinding, and storytelling, ensuring that visual communication is as intentional as the spaces themselves.

Why We Offer Graphic Design

Projects communicate long before they are built, and long after.

We include graphic design as a core service because it:

  • Reinforces community and character
  • Improves navigation and user experience
  • Supports marketing, approvals, and stakeholder communication
  • Creates consistency across signage, presentations, and materials

By integrating graphics with planning and landscape design, we create cohesive environments rather than disconnected elements.

Our Approach to Graphics

Our graphics are designed with context in mind.

We consider scale, materials, visibility, and how people interact with spaces. Whether designing a monument sign, wayfinding system, or presentation rendering, our goal is clarity, legibility, and visual cohesion.

#1 – Landscape sketch and 3D model.
#2 – A preliminary sketch.
#3 – Landscape and color.
#4 – Final color and detail.

Example Residential Project

Step #1

We began with a complete understanding of the client’s program and began working with the architect, reviewing the plans, gathering details, floor plans, elevations, and the roof design.

Step #2

We then proceeded to build the model from the ground up in a 3D software we love called SketchUp. This allows us to pan around and select different angles of the final design.

We are often hired just for this service by architects who want to provide a three-dimensional design for their clients.

Step #3

We then get to work on the landscape design. Focusing heavily on our skills to craft the perfect plan that meets the client’s program.

Step #4

Once the landscape design is approved and all materials have been added, we merge the design with the building to create a final 3D model of the entire project.

Digital files are then shared with the client for use in any printing or marketing efforts.

One Unified Vision

By offering graphic design alongside planning and landscape architecture, we help ensure that a project’s identity is consistent, legible, and thoughtfully integrated from concept through completion.
